Low carb chocolate pie crust

Total time: 1 hour 15 mins
  • 2 scoops (1/2 cup) of chocolate protein powder
  • ½ cup fat solid at room temperature (coconut oil, butter, shortening, lard, etc)
  • ½ cup almond meal
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon Splenda
  • 1-2 tablespoons of water
  1. Add all ingredients (except water) to bowl and cut with knife until looks like a bunch of brown peas
  2. Add water one teaspooon at a time until the dough holds together.
  3. Wrap in plastic and put into the refridgerator for 1-2 hours
  4. Lay between two square pieces of wax paper and roll out until dough gets to all sides
  5. Place in pie pan and cook at 350F for 15 minutes or until it just starts to brown.
  6. Allow to cool.
